Projects in Gambia

Action for Children

We have been appointed as the official representative in the United Kingdom for this Gambian NGO. We have agreed a two year deal whereby we exclusively represent their interests. Their aims include preventing child abuse across the world and social harmony between children and adults. We are proud to represent them. For more information please get in touch with us.

The Action for Children Office

We have been working for a while on trying to acquire football shirts for the the school community in Gambia. We were offered full kits by an English Football Club and accepted their offer. We then had contact with Action For Children and they took the kits from England to Gambia. They have been passed to the Education authorities who then decided who should have them. The pictures you see are of the kits being worn and people from our partner there as well as as Gambian officials.

We want to get more shirts and equipment so please help the JEANIE FOUNDATION.

Food Crisis

Central Gambia is suffering a food crisis caused by a harvest that never happened. 51,000 children under 5 are victims of this problem. We are working with our partner and the United Nations to alleviate the food and water shortage. The rainy season is about to arrive and it will be very tough for the children we are helping. Please volunteer or donate.

Sponsorship

This is needed for the Children that are lucky enough to receive Education in Gambia. The money will be used to buy Uniforms, Books, Stationery and Hot Meals at lunch time. We would like you to pay for a Child to get what we would consider basics. You can do this by paying by Standing Order which you can download from this site or if you prefer send us a cheque to the Registered Office - Jeanie Foundation, Suite Six, 29 Horsefair, Banbury, Oxon, OX16 0BW.

The World's First Children's Hospice

We are now supporting Helen and Douglas House a Children's Hospice based in Oxfordshire. The Hospice is split into two sections, one for Children and the other for young Adults.

This is a remarkable organisation that needs £4 million a year to keep running. Please help us support them and their amazing work.
